Seriously, it isn't that hard to spot most of the fakes without even engaging them. They mostly have all the same characteristics 1 photo that is a face pic, basically the same profile that in context of what this site is makes zero sense. I live in the boonies, and nearly 1/3 of the up front 'near you' profiles listed are obvious fakes. If they have 3+ photos and they all look like supermodels in photoshoots, they are not here to fuck you, they are either fake or here to get money from cams.

Additionally, just because a profile looked at you or flirted with you, or even emailed you does not mean they have looked at your profile or are at all interested. They have this thing called 'icebreaker' that gives accounts gold, when activated, it does what it pleases to try to drum up business and get people to pay for gold.

i noticed that, more and more fake and scammers are gold members nowadays. Look all the professional cam girls...they are almost all, gold members. Here I am, normal female members can't afford to pay, since the site took off the free membership for the icebreaker deal. It's a good thing I have already found a few playmates though that. So now, I am just a regular member, I can't even view profile, I can't send email. Perhaps, only the fake and scammer gold member can afford the gold membership with the money they made by scamming.

And lets not forget the 20's year old female that unlike any other real member able to comment on pictures when the comment feature is off. but i have it said in the picture description about not clicking on any 20's year old females who comment on my pictures.... tried to post the spammers/bots names on my blog but the site consider that hate speak. and i have the money for the gold, i just refuse to pay for a site that doesnt respect my wishes and makes shit up.

They also hijack legitimate profiles on occasion. It's happened to me.

Been saying this for ages and the response from members is ' just ignore them then'. The response from romancesdiscretos.com is..... zero. Actually it's tantamount to organised crime. They give gold memberships to obvious scammers and do nothing abut ones that have been reported with fake profiles. The only thing to do is vote with our feet and not pay a subscription. Then this organisation will just be scammers trying to scam each other. Funny.

Interesting that you say icebreaker is gone, we STILL get tons of icebreaker emails from accounts. everyweek.

Unfortunately all this is true and with 2 or 3 week before renewing I'm tempted to call it quits. But I know if I do I'm just going to want to sign up again later. Because this is almost like and addiction. Remember that there are lots of cars out on the highway and most are safe drivers so drive defensively and watch out for the idiots . Happy Trails
